All businesses are systems. As an expert in systemic thinking and interventions, I have learned that some time honored principles are applicable with any system. With the Three-Dimensional Model I have developed, I assist businesses, boards, families and other human systems to work more efficiently, achieve greater progress with integrity.
The 3 Dimensional Model focuses on identifying key aspects of your system or organization:
Systemic considerations will include the history, the structure and the process of your group. This takes place in a narrative format where the members or stake holders tell their story of how they got to where they are now.
Current Developmental Challenges are then identified as a natural out growth of past solutions for old problems, which have now become potential problems themselves.
Solutions are then identified with a system of support and accountability to assist members in finding success.
Too many consultants who have a background in psychology come in and give employees and managers personality tests. This is often entertaining or perhaps uncomfortable, but rarely works for change at the systemic level. My approach acknowledges individual and stylistic differences in people, but respectfully differs by placing the level of change to be with the system, with each individual finding their motivation to become invested in their own personal as well as the organization’s development.
I also have consulted with training Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Techniques in therapy with staffs focused on provided some form of human services. My strength-based orientation has also led me to work with high schools to address substance abuse issues.
Give me a call to describe your situation and I will help you decide whether my services might fit your needs.
