Loved reading this (and thanks for the shout-out for Creole Gallery). What happened for the Lansing jazz scene in the past decade was a perfect synergy of great musicians like Rodney want to play locally, multiple venues to support those musicians, media support (your show was a HUGE part of that) and engaged audiences.

I hope the next decade in Lansing is just as good. I vow to get back there as much as I can to participate!
